Each Puka plantain strip begins as a fresh plantain, hand-picked at its peak ripeness after converting its starch into natural sugars. They are hand-sliced, thinly and lengthwise to provide a larger surface for caramelization. Puka Plantains contain no chemicals, and only three natural ingredients: fresh plantains, palm oil and salt.
